Vacuum Forming PEEK Film

Welch Fluorocarbon has years of experience vacuum forming components made from high performance PEEK film. Typical thicknesses of the PEEK film range  from .003” up to .030”. Parts vacuum formed from PEEK film make possible long, thin wall thickness that are not possible in injection molding. Our custom vacuum forming process is capable of producing PEEK film parts with wall thicknesses as thin as .001”.

PEEK is an extremely strong, chemical resistant, low out gassing film that can be adhesive bonded to an assembly. Due to it’s unique properties the PEEK components we produce can be found in a variety of industries.  Thermoformed PEEK film has excellent dielectric properties and has been used successfully inside closed medical devices. Certain grades of PEEK have been implanted in the human body in contact with fluids and tissue.  PEEK film is sometimes called APTIV®, Optima® and Vestakeep®  . PEEK is a chemical acronym for PolyEtherEtherKetone.
